About

I’ve worked in the media for more than 20 years as a reporter, feature writer, sub-editor and editor. My passion for writing has taken me from Yorkshire to Scotland and on to Costa Rica, where I lived for five years in the 1990s, working as an English teacher then editor of a travel magazine.

As well as working as a copywriter for websites, newsletters and press releases, I’ve written for a wide range of publications, from Rough Guides to the Green Parent and the New Internationalist. I like to write colourful features about the people and projects that are making a difference in the world. I’m also the press officer for the Ilkley Art Trail.
